Esme hopped up onto the bucket. Aliss said, "no, you're not allowed to be taller than me" and jumped onto a higher spot 😂 sassy little thing

Wish I could be on more regularly. Finally drilled back to these pictures, & been following some. Looking at the pictures, other than the swelling and your reports of how her breathing sounds, it is somewhat confounding, isn’t it?

Because she doesn’t look typical at this point for a respiratory infection - though it may very well be. Were her nares or eyes ever wet with discharge? The second thing about this is that Coryza is infectious, or maybe there’s a variety that isn’t? If it is “Infectious Coryza”, then why has it not quickly spread to others in the gang there? These must be questions you ponder too. I am not criticizing, just putting in my two cents to try to help.

I recall watching some video on removing pus from a certain eye / sinus infection that even when resolved leaves the lump of pus blocking normal drainage. I will look for it again as I don’t remember what infection was the cause.
Yes, I am checking everyone at night for swelling, etc.

No she never had any discharge or drainage. At this point I inclined to think she has a sinus infection of some sort. How do we get those? Who knows - we get them and our Drs just shrug and say ‘who knows’. Same with our pets.

But the swelling is going down, so the meds are doing their thing. The other night she sounded stuffed up - like we would be of out noses were blocked. Last night she sounded fine.

I was in a bit of a panic, I didn’t know how she would get Coryza, other than from wild birds.

One thing is for sure, I will be watching them all closely the next couple weeks.

I am astonished about banana. Mine just love banana.
They get it all over their little faces.
They don’t eat the skins, but they pick every tiny piece of banana off the inside. They love the stringy bits - like worms!

Banana tax: Tassels must have been molting. Those little white specks are keratin sheath dust. Maybe from someone else because there really haven’t been a lot of black feathers on the ground.

They go bananas for it.

My brother is making a strong case to be George's #1 fan. He loves that little rooster. This is the first chicken I have had that he goes out of his way to interact with daily. We were discussing Christmas yesterday afternoon as he is trying to finish up shopping. I told him not to get me anything. I would know by Christmas if I had to go silkie rooster shopping or not. He informed me I did not need a silkie rooster I had George. Well, he called him by the name his gave him. He thinks I only need George and that I should set eggs from all my girls crossed with him. Let the afro's take over the flock as he put it.
Yes! Afros Rule!

Ok, I don't recall having seen it from the outside before, and may I just say, 'palace' definitely fits. It looks like a person could live there comfortably.
Having been inside, yes, a human could reside there comfortably. With minor modifications, like a floor.

They are all comfortable with you Bob ❤️
Never mind the colour of the eggs at least they are happy and healthy 😊
Maleficent was a real sweetie. She was obsessed with me from day1. Her sister Aurora, I still can't handle unless it's dark.
