Again they are beautiful birds, get along with everyone and for them friendly. They came standoffish, they are leaps and bounds better then when they first arrived. Gryffyns sister Flurry is a downright sweetheart of a hen. She is also the prime egg eater. There is enough stuff to like about them that I am willing to try them again in the future. From chicks I raised myself mind you. Maybe bantam cochins next time. For such big girls their eggs are tiny. Not much bigger then a silkie's egg.
Only our Ameraucana (not EE) & White Leghorn layed our L/XL eggs. The Marans layed round Lg eggs, & all other breeds were Sm eggs regardless if Silkie or medium size hens. Once in a while a medium breed layed a Med egg but mostly Sm almost reaching Med.

This isn't all of her chickens. She wants me to fix the 3d printer so she can have a big flock of them.
She'll remember the ones you made for her more than the bought toys. Trust me, she will. My kids are in their 50's & still reminisce over the stuff I made for them when they were wee ones.

I knew you were close ~ well, at least in the same state. Sounds super if you're serious ~ wherever "two or more are gathered"❤️. DH has met w/his online cronies from back East before & this state is much closer.

DH meets w/ APU professors & friends at our local Chic-Fil-A every morning. For your meetup we have to wait till after my surgery as insurance drags its approvals ~ I'm in limbo till this arm gets fixed!. We'll PM you as we know more.

Are you near Clovis? That's where my 93 yr old Auntie lived ~ she passed this yr February & now just her DD/SIL live in Clovis. I have relatives all over this state & Sacramento, even Idaho, Oregon, & Australia. Auntie was making a family genealogy but now she's gone we won't know where anyone is any more. Auntie let us know births/deaths/marriages, etc. No more. She ran the church library over 60 yrs! Miss that sweet lady!
