I counted something like 14 time over the past couple days! I even went in this morning before getting everyone awake and counted - that’s when I found Twister in the nest box.

Who knows….. all I know is NO MORE BABIES!

Wow I was about to guess 47 haha. Should have typed it in before taking the dog to the vet this morning

A niece sent me pics of some localish ads for free chickens: 11 hens and a bbr rooster of some sort....and another ad for a lavender orp roo who is a year and nice to the girls, just too big for some....

Introducing year old roos into my troop.....nope. pretty birds...not interested. Now chicks...doable....but not this time of year.

I really did wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Rooster crowing at 0:200 then 0:400 and then at 0:600. Intermittent sleep isn’t really sleep at all. I haven’t checked the chooks yet. Awful quiet out there at the moment. I hope nobody shot my roosters.

That's why went for 42 then upped to 43 for another guess. She was only a few birds more then my lot....then got all sorts of chick fever...and the incubator hatch...and I'm close on the guess work. It's fun. And @RoyalChick is right. We need a complete name list when the number's revealed.

I just can't conceive of having that many chickens. Hence my way too low guess.
