Good point to consider!

But, the same state also has a law that it's illegal to fart in public after 6 p.m. on Thursdays, or for a woman to fall asleep under the hair drier in a salon...etc.

If the dye used is safe for children, I'd consider it safe for animals, too, and that's all I would use. It's water-based and will wash out, but I would just let it wear out.

Again, just for fun on one of them. I'd hate to cause a different-looking chicken to get picked on though, so I could be creating a problem here. 🤔

I'll think about it and check into it further. We'll see. If I do it, this'll be the first place I post a picture. :)
(Do they really have those laws?!)

There are oodles of stupid laws for every state. Many were made decades ago about one particular situation and never got repealed.

We have one chicken-related one in Wisconsin: No selling colored chicks, ducklings, or rabbits: It's illegal to sell chicks, ducks, or rabbits with a dye job.

And this one cracks a lot of people up:
  • Livestock have the right of way: Outside of big cities, livestock have the right of way on public roads.
In other words, if there's a horse on the road in a city and you hit it, it's their fault. Like hitting a horse or a cow in the road is darn near the same as hitting a car. Who cares whose "right of way" it is, you stop!

Poor Cash is like that, and now I have Ruth and Babe 😢 why oh why must they moult in the winter?!

Sure hope wee Dakota is feeling better soon ♥️
She’s eating okay. Her poops smell really bad :sick but she’s alert and functional. Too much information on that I know, and I apologize. But she’s alive!
She’s my only mathamachicken and Rhode Island Red that I have left. Not to mention that she’s so cute.🥰

♥️ She’s such a wonderful elderly wee lady 🥰

You are doing an awesome job with her. I hope today is a better day for you ♥️

There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

A blue law in Michigan, speficially Detroit, that I've always found hilarious: "It is illegal to tie an alligator to a fire hydrant in Detroit."

:lau

And in Kalamazoo, it's illegal to sing to your sweetheart!

"Are you serious? Where the heck am I supposed to keep my alligator when I visit Detroit on a Sunday?!"
