It is a stunning development. I'm happy for Hattie. It may be because the entire tribe has been basically living in the main coop for 3 days now. The weather has been truly awful and they are just staying indoors by choice. Why force anyone to leave when it's nasty out.
Really chilly here all of a sudden too. This wild up and down in the weather is hard on livestock and wildlife.

The chooks were all snuggled together last night on the stall walls. - I felt a bit guilty moving them. But it is safer and warmer in the Hen House.

Doesn’t work for a hose as long as mine (100’) tries a few over the years - more trouble than they were worth.
Yep, our 100 ft contractors hose doesn't reel up either. The 75 ft contractor hose never reeled up either. But our two 50 ft steel hoses roll up nice. Its still a chore to care for any kind of hoses.

I finally invested in Bionic steel hoses cuz some I can leave out year round & the hot sun doesn't crack or split them as fast as rubber or plastic ones ~ but they are hot to touch on hot days just be careful. They are somewhat lightweight & easier to roll up for this old lady. We have 25 ft lengths too.

Our front yard hose reel had both a Bionic hose & a black cloth hose rolled on it ~ the black hose split in less than 6 months ! the Bionic is 3 yrs old & still no leaks or breaks.

Meanwhile, my gang continue to steer clear of Bernie’s roost which has been the favorite place for all chickens ever.
They are all down the other end.
Calypso does a security check just before bed by walking the big roost before flying over to join everyone else.
Strange birds.

Creatures of habit ~ they know something is not as usual.

So, that’s the big long green thing that I see rolled up on my lawn? Thanks for the info. I thought it was a snake 🐍
