Merry Christmas from Poppet and Turkey. Little Turkey will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and is still a tiny little thing. I had to bribe them out of the coop with bread. That lasted all of 5 minutes and resulted in Poppet trouncing Spot, Randy and Judy for simply walking by. Turkey ended up hightailing it back into the coop and Poppet followed. Hint taken Poppet. She is still not ready to introduce Turkey to the big world outside the coop. I wish all my momma hens were this happy to keep their chicks up this long.

What little bit I have gotten to interact and handle Turkey besides normal feathering he/she is all silkie. Tiny, black skin, double toes and feathery legs. Nothing for a comb yet either but I do believe it to be a silkie type comb. Poor Randy, his child is going to look nothing like him.
She looks adorable, and yes tiny! Poppet sounds like she is a wonderful mama.

Looking great, Sylv, but Grandma is not a Barnevelder. I've had several others ask me this before and I've had to tell them she is not a Barnevelder. She's a Plymouth Rock. Although most Plymouth Rocks you see are black and white, like Tony, there are also brown ones like Grandma.

And her daughter is half partridge Plymouth Rock

She’s alive and doing better. I did bring my roo in to help. It’s a team effort as you all know.
I am glad to hear this, our fur and feathered friends sure can cause us grief at times, don’t they?

Ok, please have a Happy Christmas evening, know that we here on Bobs thread are thinking good thoughts for you and Miss Coco.

♥️

Just popping in to wish Everyone a Merry Christmas. It’s a wet and windy one here on the west coast. Hoping everyone is staying warm and dry, and getting in some extra treats (chooks, humans, and fur babies alike!)
Hey! I saw you were getting some weather out that way. Sure hope all is ok with you and your critters.

Gosh I meant to ask about the kitty? Do you still have the wee critter?
