Horses can go two ways. They can live just fine with no/ little human interaction OR they need constant attention and pampering. I have never met a horse that didn't fall into one of those categories, even when I helped train them as a teen. That said, they are domestic animals and need to be provided the bare minimum, even if it's just a neighbor checking in and tossing some food their way.

Also, that "meanness" is 100% mare behavior. They are so firey, especially when in season. 😆 I wasn't allowed to interact with the mares in season because I was pretty frail. The little elderly pony with cushings disease was the only safe one, because she didn't go into heat. She was still snappy and chased the gelding around.

Horse tax.
Hubby says cinnamon rolls won't work on him. Might have to do little caesers stuffed crust pizza. :p

They carry produce in a store selling chicks?! That’s different!

My Wheaton Ameraucana “Blue” lays the most beautiful blue eggs, and with a size proportional to her body size. I hope to have her around for a long time. :fl
Found a lovely ‘Robin egg’ blue egg in with Mr P and his harem, I would say it was Topsy who laid it; Flopsy is still moulting.

That is actually both girls Spot and Dottie. The only difference is Spot has the flopped over comb and Dottie's comb is straight. Spot also has more white speckling then her sister.

CeeCee loves this weather, I have to drag her inside. She is in for a few minutes and is back at the door wanting out to play in the snow.

The silkies have became snow birds. The first day they were hesitant and had a little difficulty walking in it. Now that it has a crust on it they are all over the place. Poor George would rather not venture out in the snow, but where his girls lead he will follow.
Mr P hates the snow, he is very reluctant to even follow his ladies in the snow.

Clyde doesn’t mind it, had to drag his butt in three times yesterday. He and a few of the youngsters were bound and determined to go outside and see if there was any grass hahaha. Silly chooks.

It’s crazy that I can pet Mr Wyandottey on the back all day long, but if I touch his feet he attacks and bites me. I don’t know why. I raised him from two days old. Where would he have picked up such a fear? :idunno
His feet are likely ticklish, and sensitive. They need their feet so he would be very protective of them.
