For your Hen House door roosting birds ~ I wonder how upset they'd be to find the door unhinged & gone? It's never closed so why leave it up? I'm just trying to imagine the birds scratching their heads at the missing door?
Yes I have thought of doing just that. I have a sliding wire door, so I can always separate the two rooms if need be.

I about did that last weekend hahaha.

Yes it would be hilarious. When I enclosed the hay stall they tried to fly up onto the wall only to bounce off the mesh I placed there - it’s bright orange safety fencing so it not like they couldn’t see it.

But I bet they were thinking I hadn’t tracked it on tight, they probably figured like my office door, I just had some screening tacked at the top, and it didn’t take them long to figure out they could push the office door screen aside!

Coco woke me up this morning. She does that loud purr sound that Barred Rocks make. So she’s up and fed. I haven’t given her an aspirin yet (I don’t want her to become an aspirin addicted)
But if I feel that she’s uncomfortable, she will get a half dose
Even if it’s only a 1/2 a tiny pill, still seems excessive for a little bird like her

Glad Princess is doing well. Be careful, Marie. I'm assuming you were at the vets for Nancy.
Yes, it's painful but hilarious at the same time, because the vet rushed out too help me first before dealing with Nancy Rose's vaccines and chip.

I'm surprised how lovely these people were at this vets. They are much closer to home. She's due her her second vaccinations next month.

I'm sorry everyone. I had an accident by falling over outside the vets. I'm a little exhausted to be honest.

Thank you for supporting princess on the youtube ❤️ 💕.

She's had over 100 views and 16 likes. I'm really happy about that. It's extra attention towards "Dean's Farm Rescue". Plus Princess will love the attention ;)
Oh no - hope you are OK. No broken bones?

Any guesses on the predator? Came out of the woods, wandered around the yard some, went back into the woods. Prints are too large to be a house cat. In the first picture I can tell it stopped for a short time because the prints are side-by-side, whereas while it was moving it was one print in front of the other. I'm thinking feline because of that... But it's hard to tell because the tracks got partially filled with new snowfall. I don't see evidence of claws so I don't think it's a canine or mustelid. I saw these same prints the other day (maybe closer to a week ago) but they just stopped at a certain point, right up by the side garage door and next to the chicken shelter we built.

Whatever this was, as I was following the tracks around the yard it looked like the animal was hunting. It was mixed with deer tracks here and there but there's no way the thing is big enough to bring down a white tail. It went under the deck and one point and came back out at another. No tracks near the run.

I'm so curious and interested to find out what this thing is! Any ideas? Should I post it in the predators forum?

I thought at first I had broken my nose but thankfully not. It's swollen and my knee is. I lost a lot of blood but it looked worse than it was. I might have black eyes later my nose is swollen.

I did a salt nasel wash and caster oil on my cuts
Oh my... I'm glad you're okay! Well, relatively. I'm glad it wasn't worse, I should say!
