But I have no idea how much 50mg is. I just can’t seem to find this info anywhere.

All they say is the whole lot in 50 gallons of water - a little more than I need really….

Is 50mg a tsp, half a cup… just what is this 50mg dose in measurement?

I do still need to know the density of the material, but I selected ‘other’ and it states 50mg = 1/16 tsp. I tried it with the other items and also 1/16 tsp. Well actually it’s < 1/16 tsp.

This is usable - I may just risk this in the morning and dose him.

Hmmmm so 1/4 tsp is 1000mg (1g).

I only need 50mg! Hmmmmm this is complicated.

Well I went and ordered a kitchen scale that does mg weight on Amazon, so should be here tomorrow. Hopefully it arrives early.

In the meantime I will think about dosing the whole flock. It’s 500mg/L so I can do 2000mg (2g) easily, and fill up my 4L container. That would be 1/2 a tsp - easy enough to measure out.

I can always syringe that mixture into Clyde to make him get some.

I can always waste any eggs if I don’t feel comfortable finding a definitive answer to the egg withdrawl.

Sounds like a plan to me. I have dealt with similar problems dosing and it's always a bit scary, but I've never overdosed them. So thankful for that. Let us know how it all works out! I'm definitely always interested!!

It is a dilemma for sure, now I just need to scare up my measure spoons I think I have a 1/8 measure, so that would be 100mg. I can always mix this with a cc of water and give him half. Or maybe he weighs more than a kilo. That would be 2.2lbs. I’ll weigh him in the morning.

At 50mg/kg if he is over a kilo I can adjust the dose to fit.

At any rate I have a mg weight scale on order, here’s hoping I get it in the morning.

Just for an example: I selected both 500mg water then 500mg powdered sugar then 500mg Other & always got 1/8 tsp no matter the density? I would be doing the same thing you're going to do for Clyde at 50mg = 1/16.

Fluffy Butt Friday.
It has been quite windy here, too windy to let the chooks out. I also got sick a couple days ago but I'm quite a bit better. Thankfully this time it seems to be a fast one.
