Foot or Feet or Leg Issue

Yes, you can use that. I would give 1/4 capsule a day. Just open it on a dish and divide into 4 roughly equal amounts/4 doses, if it's not perfectly exact it won't hurt anything. The b's are very safe, extra will be excreted.

Thank you!! I may need to give it with scrambled egg. That seems to be the only thing I can really get her to eat. Thank you for the help!

She’s still only eating scrambled eggs. I did put some of the B vitamin in it. I can’t get her drink so she hasn’t had the nutri-drench. She has moments where she perks up but for the most part she’s acting lethargic. She’s just laying under the brooder plate with her head to the side. 🙁

Try to get some fluids in, make them room temp to slightly warm, I use a dropper and hold them so their beak is resting in the crease of my finger and drip it down the crease of my finger so it runs to the tip of the beak. They will swallow it. It's a bit slow, but reduces the chance of aspiration or injuring them. I would do that about every 20 minutes or so, as much as it will take each time. See if that helps perk it up. You can use a bit of sugar water, chick electrolites, or a bit of raw egg yolk mixed into the water.
Sometimes when a chick presents with one problem, there may be more internally that are not obvious. But dehydration can take them down. That is what I would do.

I can’t thank you enough for the help you’re giving! I did the water drops with electrolytes and also the b vitamin capsule. But she’ll only eat it on scrambled eggs so I’m still giving her that. Is that fine? I know you said the b vitamin over 4 days but then do we stop it or continue it? We are getting so attached to this girl I’m really praying she pulls through. At what point do you typically know if they’ll pull through or not? Thank you again.

The B's are very safe. I would continue until you see improvement that becomes normal, and then for a few days to a week after that. How long improvement takes can be very hard to predict. I've seen some birds with noticeable improvement after only one or 2 doses, and others may take longer, even weeks in some cases. If you can, try mixing a small amount of moistened(soaked) feed into the scrambled egg, start with a very tiny amount. See if it will eat that. Then you can gradually increase the feed amount and decrease the egg. No rules on how that happens, do what works. And continue with fluids as long as needed, dehydration will just cause more problems.

I’m hesitant to even say this but wanted you to know that she is eating the regular chick feed with the other chicks! Getting herself water too! We’re still doing the B vitamins in the scrambled egg. She still walks on her toes but one foot seems to be less curled and the other one is staying curled even though we keep the splints on and change them daily. Should we keep splinting both feet so it’s even or stop with the one that’s not curled now? I’m worried about her having internal issues too. Is it a strong chance that if she pulls through this that she would end up having issues soon due to other internal causes? Thank you again for your help!!

That she's eating and drinking is a very good sign. I would continue what you are doing, continue taping the toes until the chick is walking normally. I wouldn't worry about the things that 'might' be, just work on what you know. If she's eating, drinking and pooping, then those are all good signs. If it is caused by a deficiency, then once it's reversed they very often go on to live normal lives.
