I vote for an adult so Peggy has a friend now to help with the mourning process of losing Gus. 2 females and only 1 drake if you can accommodate that number.

Hey, thanks for the recommendation. I’ve searched all morning to see if I can find an adult duck for sale near me. I even looked at the local wildlife rescue to see if they had found any abandoned ducks. I don’t know if getting ducklings would be a good idea though. Better than nothing I guess. Peggy is sooo stressed out right now.. I put a mirror in the pen to comfort her a bit, but it doesn’t help. She thinks it’s gus so she gets frantic running around the run looking for him.

I had just ordered the supplies to make their run safer.. but I should’ve done it sooner. And also, I was really surprised it was a fox, because there aren’t many in my neighborhood. By the time i’m finished, that run is going to be a fortress.

Perfect.Fox run a 10 km radius so are not always in your area. When they are, they are sly buggers and opportunists. They watch my Dogs daily..

Try your feed store they may know someone with ducks, Craigslist?
