More calendula soaking in olive, apricot, and castor oil.
This batch has about 1/4 cup of dried tangerine peels.
Take note; after letting the oil soak for about 10 minutes in the calendula, it needs more oil.

This is a pleasant surprise this morning here at the "city farm" homestead headquarters
Mesa, Arizona U.S.A.
This was a share from another host that dripped off lovely plants since she moved. She was recognized by her local newspaper for the Garden Exchange Stand she ran while there.
Read all about Mary Lou Mollman, and if you love gardening, sustainability, and wildlife, think about becoming a Seed Librarian or host of a Garden Exchange Stand.

"The day in the life"
of Savvi. She is like R2D2. She follows me around, lil' stinker..

A neighbor gave us this Baja spurge (Euphorbia xanti) that was a volunteer in his yard.
I love it!

Make sure you only take 2 or 4 per ocotillo plant when wild harvesting. Leave some for the wildlife.
Make sure there are no bees, ants, or spiders. You can pick, then let them sit out for a bit if there are some insects.

Bring the water to a simmer, turn off flame, and let the flowers steep for 10-20 minutes and then enjoy or let it completely cool for iced.
The flowers can be used in a salad or garnish as well.
If you pick from a personal yard, make sure you use plants from non-sprayed yards, and as always, consult your physician before consuming or applying anything.
