Sure! My son is in the sloths group at the daycare at his school and I have ancestors from NC so I’ll remember your name.

That is very interesting!! I don't need that where I am but still. Awesome you can make something like this to help.I tried the no crow collar on my bantams and they didn’t work. After reading reviews I think I didn’t have them on tight enough. The hardware cloth I ordered on Amazon is arriving tomorrow- someone on Reddit made one out of it and zip ties and it works by restricting the movement of the neck rather than preventing air to create crowing.
Gorgeous bird!!! Love them.. handsome couple. He’s the one on the bottom wearing the collar

If I hatch their eggs, there are 3 hens laying. This EE:

But need to consider the fact that any Roos that hatch would be crosses would be less able to find homes than if they are purebred even though they could be healthier.
Anyway sorry for hijacking the thread, maybe OP can try the hose clamp before the hardware cloth collar to keep the cockerel. At least that’s what I would’ve tried first but I didn’t read about hose clamps until after I ordered the supplies for the collar. The guy who posted that “hose clamps are the best rooster mufflers” on here last signed on in 2023 so I don’t know what size to buy - maybe the largest- around 2 inches in diameter and adjust until only a pinky can fit under.
The hose clamp we tried was an old one left by the previous owner of our home and couldn’t tighten all the way so DH might buy another one to try. He would need to eat crumble though. That would be an issue for us as well- DH loves feeding them table scraps and veggies/greens.
