Yesterday I witnessed Silas attempting to mate with one of the hens, who was NOT amused! He had her by the neck but she was dragging him around the run.

Zacchaeus was NOT amused either, and chased Silas away. It was too fast to follow but I suspect that Silas got pecked, hard. Good. He needs to learn his place.

Last year Samuel, as second roo, tried to mate with an unwilling hen. Joel, head roo, grabbed Samuel by the neck and mounted him. Samuel broke away and fled, and I thought Joel was communicating "There, how do YOU like it?"

Joel was a keeper. Zack is looking to be one as well.

Looks like a relaxing view and refreshing getaway after all of that intense housework you have been getting done! We have yet to get a pumpkin this year - so far the lowest price I have seen them has been $4.99, but missed that sale over the busy weekend

My pumpkin is progressing slowly, pictures from the last four or five days

And we have the first mention of the S-word in the weather forecast . But not a sure thing, at least down here near the lakes, maybe up at elevations.
