Finally time to start getting plants in the ground!

We've been planting like crazy here! We decided this year to cram the garden so there will be less space for weeds.

Received my Nourse raspberry plants this morning. 2 1/2 hours later, I have 25 in the ground. Quality bare root plants. Worked out to $4 each. Cheaper than WalMart. I was originally looking for asparagus crowns and unfortunately, they were already sold out by early Feb. Bummed out because the only crowns I could find locally were pathetic 3-4". I'll be replacing many I am sure. The other plus for Nourse is 2 weeks ago, they sent me a heads up to get my beds ready. Who does that?

That's too bad. I was worried they'd sell out this year so I ordered mine months in advance.

I'd never heard of them. I will keep them in mind if I ever want to order berry plants.

Got some tomatoes and peppers planted yesterday! Praise the Lord!

So far-

Tomatoes: Black Beauty, Orange Jazz, Dr. Wyche's Yellow, Cherokee Purple, Purple Russian, and Amish Paste

Peppers: Chocolate Beauty, Habanada, Sweet Banana, and Corbaci

I have too many plant varieties in the garden to count, at least at the moment. I just got back from a trip and need to do some weeding! Anyways, alive and fairly green over here!
