I have geese and chickens (and ducks) and my husband is building a large coop for all of them. I know geese should have their own space (they are already getting nippy at the chickens and aren’t even full mature yet) so I am thinking of putting two separate rooms in it.
If you have a mixed flock, will you show me your coops? Just looking for ideas for the inside!
Photos just because they’re gorgeous!

Goose house with a small run. We have a mountain property so nothing is ever even. Everything is sequels with quarter inch hardware cloth and an 18 inch apron at the bottom. The door you see goes up and we lock it at night but is a ramp during the day. We have a large door on the left side for easy cleaning. Top 11 inches in the front and back are open with hardware cloth for ventilation.

We did the little run because we wanted a safe place for them to be outside unattended in the morning before we are ready to let them out in the big yard during the day. We also feel it will be useful when they start having babies. during heavy rain we do put a tarp on top to keep it a bit dryer.

Coop and run. Again with the hardware cloth and apron. Top 8 inches of coop in the front have cloth for ventilation plus ventilation on the sides. Our stairs are not attached so we can move them and pull up a wheel barrel for easy cleaning. The top of the run is covered with a hard clear plastic to keep it dry.

Our geese and chickens go into their own homes at night, but during they day they are in a quarter acre yard together.
