Anyway, Just wanted to add, I have a beautiful blue barred EE pullet
Good Luck with your projects

I take awful pics but here is one of my 3 month old light barred pullet. I had another dark barred pullet but when I went to the greenhouse where her and her mom reside she was dead. Darn it.

Her barring is a nice light grey blue with no brown leaking thru. It may actually be lacing ( don't know the proper term) as each feather is outlined in blue. I will get pics as she gets older. Most of mine tend to darken up slightly with age. The rump on the right is a really nice tufted columbian splash roo.

This is the prettiest little pullet. I have a double tufted version of her that is 6 weeks old. Both of them are keepers for me.

I just came across this older thread. Here is what I have been working on. I have posted about them on the araucana thread.

The bird pictured in the center of the bottom picture is perfection itself. That shape is so lovely. You have done really well with this color.

Hi,

Can Barred Hollands be used to create Barred Araucanas?
They lay white eggs, this will help keep blue color.
They have red Ear lobes, which is what is needed for Araucana.
They do have yellow shanks and toes, which it would be better not to have.
But what can you do? I can't find anyone to by BarredAraucanas from.
the yellow shanks is still a big issue.
