Your goldens are so cute. When I first bought ducklings and 2 sebastopol goslings I had some 300 golden hybreds.
Today our 5 year old golden female Fancy Feet was in the empty pond as usual getting bugs under the leaves. I am not sure when it happened but a Hawk came in and killed her. I found her when I went ou to do waters. I had taken our great dane with me and she went looking all over and the next thing the dane was howling, she knew Fancy was deceased. I was totally sick to see my darling Fancy dead in the empty pond her neck being ate. GOD, I was so upset......... It was like I lost a dear friend in my heart.
The drake with Fancy was looking all over for her I felt so badly for him. He went bback in where Fancy had eggs. I guess to guard them. But Fancy could not get fertile eggs with him he was half runner and Fancy could not reproduce with him. The drake decided this evening he was staying with teh sebastopols since he lost his mate (friend).

Fancy I will always miss my little girl who just loved catching worms.........

Are these Fawn and White Runners? I only have three girls right now (ancona, and Buff orp), but in the spring I'm going to add a few more, and haven't decided on breed. I've been eyeballing the 300's. I actually bought a chocolate runner by accident several months ago, and was initially disappointed because I'd always thought "I don't want one of those" but since having him, I've reconsidered.
