They won't get saddle feathers or the crest of a roo till about 6 months or so.
wrong, I have a golden laced the same age and he has very obvious saddle feathers that came in over a month ago. His brothers came in earlier which made them very easy to tell apart from the hens.
also he has a ton of streamers and this bird has none. It would be showing both of these things by now. Its a hen, but a side view would be helpful in being 100 % sure
Here are some pics of my golden laced who hatched in late june/early august. The other is a buff laced pullet of the same age. as you can tell the boy is VERY obviously a boy. I was able to sex them at two months old because their saddle feathers come in very obviously different. (the girl is a tad spiky on her crest because of mud, but you can still see the difference i am talking about)
ETA sorry, i didnt realize how bad these pictures were until i uploaded them. But if you look carefully you can see the girls saddle area as opposed to the boys is very very different. (he had his tail pulled out by a coon so we cant go of tail feathers, sorry.)
you can also see even though her crest looks spiky just how obvious his spikes and streamers are

My polish roo dind't get his saddle and long crest feathers till he was 6 months old.
So it is possible.
I see saddle feathers in the last 4 month old pic. Either way its terribly misleading to say polish WONT get saddle or pointy crest feathers until late. Its always possible for any breed to develop late, but in my experience both of my polish roosters developed very early.
I'm thinking it might be a she because he has no saddle feathers or spur bumps but he acts skittish and rude but could that be from limited vision and he hasn't crowed while my silkie has and her wattles aren't even visible unless you really move the beird she holds her tail different then my other girls but I'm thinking it is a pullet.
at 5 and a half months old I think you would have heard some crowing by now. I initially thought it was a male but if it hasn't spoken up yet it's almost certainly a girl.
