Definitely not a Royal Palm. Royal Palm are black and white only, no brown.

It is one of those mixed varieties that there is are no reference photos for.

I believe that it is one of the many possible versions of a mixed variety Narragansett.

I am sure they did. Any that had brown on them failed to meet the standards for Royal palms and should never be used for breeding purposes. The ones with brown are a Tri-Color rather than a Royal Palm.

Whatever he is he's gorgeous! Your hen on the bottom there reminds me a LOT of a "Rusty Black" (from porter's site) tom that I hatched out last year. Such a pretty color!
