Sorry for any problems. My other email address is not receiving mail so I have to do this all over again. Here are pic's of my incubator. Can't get temp right. Bought it used, tried for 2 days, staying at 102. Also how hard is it to replace the wafer, and which way do you turn it using the l shaped screw. Flewdacoop thx...hope you got my message and pic's.

Its a GQF incubator, not sure what model. Looks like you have the electronic thermostat (black box on right inside wall) with a wafer thermostat back up. Which one are you adjusting? You would only use the wafer thermostat if the electronic one fails. If you are adjusting the wafer and the electronic is working that may be why your temperature is not changing. You would would need to adjust the electronic thermostat. You can go to www.gqfmfg.com where you should be able to find instructions for this incubator that you can print.

Appreciate that...I tried GQF online. They have instructions but they want to know what model. Here aI am at a loss. Which way do you turn the wafer? Towards the contact or away from it? I have tried both ways but I see what you're saying. The black box does say its a electric thermostat. Do you know why they have two? Again thx for the help.

There are 2 thermostats in case the electronic one breaks then you have a backup so your eggs don't get cooked. Usually if an electronic thermostat breaks the heat stays on.The back up thermostat (wafer) would then take over the temperature control. On mine you turn the the wafer counter clockwise to increase the temperature and clockwise to decrease the temperature. That being said. If your electronic thermostat is controlling the temperature it wont matter which way you turn the wafer. Try this link for instructions https://www.gqfmfg.com/pdf/Cabinet Model Instructions.pdf I think you will find what you need here. Based on your pictures it looks like your incubator is set up as a hatcher. I don't see any turning trays,

Sorry that link won't take you directly to the instructions. Use the link then click on the instructions tab then click on the link that says 1502,1527,1536,1550 1570 Cabinet Model Instructions.. All those models are combined into one set of instructions.

Thx...I am going to go there but I thought I would let you know. You were right. I backed off the wafer completely and increased the electric one. It went to 102, I decreased it and it is sitting on 99 for the last hour. Thx again for all the help. Later.....

You also might consider another Thermometer just to be safe I run 3 in mine the probe one GQF sells a digital and then the type you have shown. The only 2 that stay close is the probe and the digi.

What is the difference between an incubator and hatcher? I have two like this and one with automatic egg turners. All these were given to me Saturday and I am trying to figure them out. Thx foir any help...
