Grocery store eggs series 2021

I bought eggs from a farm fridge where they guy sells eggs on his porch, only one of his hatched. The black one, I had to buy 2 delawares from a near by town. It was the coldest time of the year when I bought the egg too. I don't know how his eggs are handled, and he sells for eating. His farm is 20 min. from my house.

The 3 below, were from a healthfood store 20 min from my house, but the farm is one mile away. They used to be a good source for hatching eggs but now they are just down to one rooster. only 3 were fertile. (day11)

I went to the same healthfood and got these eggs below from a yet a diff farm one mile from my house. I am hoping to have luck with them. They do have roosters.

I wonder if you should tell them they have a male stow away in there flock.

Siu is confirmed male; Daan is a girl. I haven’t checked the babies yet, though they’re at the right age.

Hubs and I will be going to our local chinese superstore and buying duck eggs.

I bought a dozen over the summer that were in a grocery store, (local farm) all blue eggs, I set 11 and 10 hatched. Recently I set 6 from a diff local farm, and bought from a health food store. The date said 10 old. Of the 6 I set, 4 developed, day 19 my first pip, the 4 are due in a couple days or so...

I actually sold some to a lady that saw my “eggs for eating” add. She wanted to try to hatch them so I told her to give me a week and picked them out just like I would if I were hatching for myself. Upside down, no fridge, tilting, etc. I did tell her my rooster was kinda stretched thin for the number of hens. She said she would be happy with 6 and ended up with 10 out of 24 I think. I’m sure all of those were not fertile but I tried to pick from Rusty’s favs as best as I could. Point is, you never know when experimenting but it’s always nice to exceed expectations.
