Ok this is an odd request to make, but here goes.

I'm in southeast Delaware.
I have many Homing Pigeons, but one is a special needs...sweet Ziggy, with the zig-zag cross beak. It's so bad she cannot feed herself. So I hand feed her daily 2x a day, about a teaspoon of pigeon grain, some grit, and some Kaytee baby bird formula, using a handfeeding syringe, each time, just breakfast & dinner, quite easy actually.

She is very tame & sweet. She will fly to my when I call her name, then it's easy to feed her, she coos and sits on my lap. Just gotta gently clean her beak & nares afterwards.

My question...is there anyone here in Delaware that has experience handfeeding...even handfeeding baby Cockatiels, as Pigeons are easier than Tiels. I may need a surgery & my main worry is Ziggy being fed. Of course, if I keel over, Ziggy would need a new home, but I don't think I'm checking out yet, unless doc slips with the knife lol.

Anyway...Can anyone help?
Just thought I'd ask...you are all the most wonderful group of folks here I've ever met in my life. ❤️

Sweet Ziggy
