My serama bantam hen has a long hard growth of some kind growing out of her neck. Any idea what it is and what I should do to get it off/out? She is not showing any other symptoms that I can tell. Moving around good, eating, drinking, all seems good
Thank you so much for any help!

Hey y'all, I have been out of town for the weekend and just got a chance to see about things this evening. I plucked a couple of feathers and then I saw an air sack to. I know they have air sacks but I have not seen one before. Especially not like that. I also trimmed a little bit of stuff from the thing sticking out. It's very crumbly when cut off. Then there's a small area in the center that is a different color and looks like a different texture than the outer stuff.

Great pictures! If she were mine, I would trim a little off, and if it didn't bleed, trim more. Repeat until gone or bloody.
