Yesterday was the 21st day of incubating my bym fertilized eggs. I had one pip shortly after it hit 21 days. Morning of day 22, I’ve had 4 other pips and by this evening I have 3 hatched, and 3 pipped. The one that pipped first has had their beak out of the pip peeping for almost 30 hours with no signs of the hole getting bigger.

I do not want to interfere and open my incubator to help and risk shrinkwrapping the chicks that Are making progress. Should I just wait and see what happens by tomorrow afternoon or is he probably not going to hatch?

I’ve had another one hatch as I was taking a photo of the one I’m concerned about, my humidity is at 80% and my temp is 99, but it looks like the inner “shell” is drying out

It sounds like your little ones are having a tough time hatching.

30 hours, I'm surprised that it is still alive... I would give that little bugger a bit of a helping hand. If you take the egg out of the incubator and chip off a small amount of shell where it would usually zip (while trying not to tare the membrane as it may or may not still be absorbing its veins), then with a cotton bud and some clean water wet it's membrane and put it back in the incubator to see if it makes any more progress. If it hasn't zipped any more than that after an hour then I would chip away another small piece of shell along the same zip line and re-wet the membrane.

if I’m looking at the correct egg, I think it hatched from the bottom instead of the hole it was making, I woke up to 6 chicks now hatched and that egg in a couple pieces now
