@AGeese
Mom's been hatching a lot of LF Buckeye eggs.
With every hatch the egg hatch ability has improved. I don't know how but the only explanation is the breeders are just getting better at making viable eggs. At first we'd set a lot and get only a few but the latest hatch 80 percent hatched (12 out of 15). This is more acceptable to her if she is ever to sell eggs though she's never shipped eggs before.
That's great, though not sure I'm looking for eggs. I've heard they can get tossed in shipping. Those Buckeye roos of hers look great. I see a lot of frumpy looking Buckeye roos, but that could just be that those are older.

Haha, better eggs than birds! Eggs can always be replaced, if broken. 🤣

Sad, but true. I will be using transport or MH as I've never had a bad experience getting them shipped from them. My post office knows the drill 😉
What's MH?
When I last tried to ship birds they got stuck in the Milwaukee distribution center for two days and the Columbus distribution center for two days!
Two day shipping? More like, two days in shipping and two days at every distribution center they come across.
Fortunately when they did get to the Ohio post office they were prompt about it but they weren't the ones responsible for delays.
Six days in total and I swore never again. But the birds fortunately survived.

Meyer Hatchery. Can't remember when I last shipped, but it was within the last 4 years of shipping delays. I've ordered from them several times too so maybe I'm just lucky. They do include a gel pack for the chicks. My post office also is experienced since this is a farm town, they either call me or bring them out.

I think it probably is luck. Lots of people have shipped birds and they were just fine. But I think, if it happened once it can happen again. I'm not taking anymore chances.
Especially since they clearly didn't make my package a priority at all. It got delayed at TWO distribution centers. This would indicate a systemic issue.

Who was that from again?
