Heat light ??

If these are like todays temps in San Juan I vote no heat required with a 250w light in a small plastic tub unless you like em extra tender from the slow cooker! Not trying to be hostile at all, just a realist.
AllenK .... Good point about the climate heat there. Your alert about that was well needed, thank you. I am was not thinking about the possible hotter temps there, I was thinking of our snow & hail today. Looks like that electric heat pad would lend to them using at choice if needed. Best wishes.

PR is a small island but has loads of micro climes as you get into the mountains in regions like Adjuntas or near San Germaine temps there will probably be highs 15-20F lower than the coastal plains.

Sounds lovely, will google PR out of curiosity. Natasha R must be enjoying the nice weather. Take care all!

There's a thread on heating pad heat - MHP by Blooie, I've converted and love it. The chicks aren't so skittish, calmer & QUIET!

If there is no momma chicken for the days old ones then you can bring them inside in a large cardboard box for a few weeks but the others are fine. Be sure to give your tiny baby birds a firm footing to prevent spraddle, sawdust or straw will do. I never heat my grown birds unless it gets 0° or less in an uninsulated coop and never in my insulated garage where half my flock lives plus your area doesn't get cold enough ever to worry about heat for grown birds.
