Hi friends, I could use some thoughts if anyone has any. I detail it all down below, but aside from her breathing heavy sometimes and her swollen abdomen, I was doing some of my own research and I do wonder if one of her air sacs could be inflamed, as she has a lump on one side of her underside (right next to her leg basically). Her whole abdomen feels hard, but I feel no egg shape. So my thoughts were airsacculitis, or it looks like internal laying issues also have similar symptoms.
As usual, thank you to all who can lend their thoughts on the situation 💕

What type of bird: White Leghorn
Age: 3, will be 4 in May
Weight: Unsure, but has lost weight. I can feel her keel bone

What is the behavior, exactly: Less energetic than usual, heavy breathing mainly when sitting, sometimes stands around in that 'penguin' posture, and has not laid any eggs
How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms: Roughly 2 or 3 days for the breathing. She had lost weight about 2 weeks ago when I figured she was getting bullied away from her food and separated her
Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms: No
Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma: the space between her legs and back towards her behind (her abdomen?) is swollen. One side noticeably has a lump, and the skin looks red.

What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation: Unsure, she is the lowest of the flock and gets bullied a lot. To the point that I've had to give her her own space.
What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all: Yes she is still interested in eating and drinking right now
How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc: Normal looking, perhaps a bit less in amount

What has been the treatment you have administered so far: Removed her from the flock, given her electrolytes
What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet: Going to call the vet tomorrow morning and see what they say
If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help. I have a video of her breathing here:
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use: At the moment it's hay, because the supplier of shavings has been struggling to, well, supply

You have a good start with her isolated, but as far as what you might start with is beyond me. I think the hardness is definitely a concern.

I did note some red swelling and hardness on one of mine but it passed miraculously. I'd defer to others here for ideas.

I'm hoping the vet will have some answers tomorrow, and praying that it's something curable. I think the redness has come and gone, but I thought it was due to the other hens bullying her.

Thanks for responding though! I appreciate the concern for my sweet girl 💕

Did you determine what is wrong with your hen? I'm experiencing something very similar with one of my girls.
