Born in NY, but moved to rural AL when I was 10! So I'm a Yankee by birth but Southern boy for 48 years.
Just doing the thing more and more people are doing, trying out the backyard chicken thing.
I originally started with a chick order of 8 from Meyer Hatchery, but my order was cancelled due to extreme weather conditions and postal service delays. So I decided to go the much riskier route of hatching chicks from eggs purchased via Ebay. My first set of just 6 eggs (Sparkled Sussex) have been in the Maticoopx 30 since 2/18.
