Hello! I just got two adult canaries yesterday, not sure their exact age but full size. One of them had a broken foot, with it's back toe, the one that points backwards, pointing to the front on one of its legs, with its claw being very very over grown, so I tried to cut it with a nail clipper and I was aiming for just the tip but as it jittered I cut off most of its claw, and then blood started leaking, I put a tissue to it and a very gentle pressure and it slowed down, and now I think it has stopped (around 12 hours after incident). But it's still wet with blood just not dripping anymore, and now I have no idea what to do. How do I fix that toe? How do I stop the bleeding? It's very obvious it's causing him a lot of pain as he stands on one leg and when i went to catch him earlier today to apply some antispetic cream he was very easy to catch.
