Help! Chicken is choking and breaths crackle / bubble

Yes, I would say it's connected to her previous issues.

Are you giving Baytril? If so, then it's only given for 5 days max.

I know that sometimes symptoms can seem random and unrelated, but most of the time they are related.
If she's suffering from reproductive problems (Salpingitis, EYP, Cancer, etc.), then this can cause difficulties like a crop not emptying, digestive issues, fluid in the abdomen, organ failure, respiratory distress, etc. etc.

Treating symptoms as part of supportive care is often the best you can do. See that the crop is emptying, drain fluid from the abdomen or administer a detox for water belly, deworm as needed and keep external parasites treated are some things you can do.

If you lose her and want to find out more, then having a necropsy through your state lab will give you the most information. Sometimes labs are very expensive, so doing an informal investigation yourself can sometimes be useful in being able to see what was going on. It's not an easy thing to do.

Thank you. I had a feeling it was connected but have never seen respiratory problems from her until now. I will continue to do supportive care as best as I can, thank you for the treatment advice.
I’m using Enrofloxacin 10%, so yes Baytril. I’ll stop treatment now and note that for the future 😬 I’m glad you caught that

The respiratory problems could be partly due to the crop not emptying, fluid in the abdomen, infection, etc.

Baytril is very effective in treating most infections when given at the correct dose and time period, so if there's no improvement within the 5 days, sadly it's not likely going to help.

I somehow missed getting the detox link in my previous post in case you wanted to read up on it. If you search for it here on byc you may find where others have used it too.
I haven't used it yet but would be willing to give it a good try as an alternative to draining fluid. https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...le-to-move-now-laid-egg.1446105/post-24045478
