Loving my girls
Songster
Hi,
I have a hen (cendre) who had a partial moult in November. This was her first moult. It seemed to knock her for six and she hasnāt laid since October.
I noticed today that she was wheezing so picked her up and had a look in her mouth. All looked fine. She hasnāt been sneezing, coughing or showing any signs of a cold.
Her skin is healthy white as it should be, there are no signs of fleas, ticks or any other nasties.
Her eyes are clear and her poop is normal (I think but I have 10 hens so
)
All other hens seem fine.
Anyway, I found a lump in her esophagus, about the size of a marble (1.5cm/half an inch diameter). It was solid but kind of movable like it was hanging by a cord from the side.
I was planning to give her some olive oil internally and massage it to see if that helps incase she has eaten something that has got stuck.
At the moment she is eating and drinking ok,
Thanks for your help
