I have a miniature pig (76 weeks old) who is absolutely in love with Chinese Food takeout. I like to give her foods that she enjoys but it's starting to become a problem and quite frankly very expensive as well. About 2 months ago I gave her one half of an egg roll which she seemed to enjoy even though I didn't put duck sauce on it. The next night she ate about 4 scoops of fried rice (without pork obviously) and some Mu Shu Shrimp. A week later she was eating full family size meals all to herself without too much difficulty. It's at the point were she is eating Chinese takeout 4 to 5 nights a weeks for dinner now. I've tried to discourage her from eating it by throwing BBQ flavored Pringles and gram crackers at her but she continues to eat and a lot of times she'll pee on my work boots afterwards even though I've taught her to pee in the bathtub. I even made her some pepperoni pizza lunchables (her favorite) the other night but after she finished she dove head first right back into a General Tso's chicken combination platter with a side of fried Wontons. I think if I try hard enough I could get her to stop eating egg rolls and chow mein, but I have no clue how I'm going to get her to stop eating Kung Pao/orange chicken, sweet and sour shrimp, Szechuan Beef Noodles, etc. How can I get her to stop? Is this behavior normal for a potbelly pig? Please help she is driving me crazy! Also I would like to train her to be in movies or commercials (maybe help with her food expenses) but she's kind of snappy and aggressive. Any thoughts?

A couple of options. 1 can you feed me that well. 2 Turn "her" into Chinese food. Just kidding. Don't let her near anything you don't want her to eat. It's a pig. Big or little they eat almost anything you let them. When I was a kid we feed dead chickens and ANY scraps to the pigs. The saying you can get rid of a body with a bunch of hogs is not just a saying. Sorry that I can't help with the movies.

My first thought when reading this thread, was this has to be a joke. If not a joke then I don't know what to say...

If this is real and you want your pig to stop eating Chinese food, then you have to stop giving it to him. Unless he's calling delivery on his own and in that case, you take away his phone.

I'm sure if you just sit down and calmly talk to your pig about this obsessive Chinese food eating then she'll understand. Pigs are very smart animals. If this problem continues you may have to send her to a National Eating Disorders Association Support Group.
