Hey we're mid our first quail chick hatch. 13 cuties successfully out, one pip and pass away, one pipped 28 hours ago with no progress, we made the gamble to try and help out, the shell was super thin and week, but the membrane was so thick it was unable to push out despite it's best effort. We helped peel back some membrane, no bleeding at all, the chick pushed out, but it's got a large red jelly bean of something on it's abdomen. I'm assuming something to do with yolk absorption, but it's not squishy it's hard and very red. No connection to shell came out clean, but concerned it didn't absorb right. It's back in the incubator now keeping warm and moist while it rests and fluffs. Chick peeps, and moves just like all the rest.
Will it be okay is there something we should/can do to help, or is this bad bad news...
Incubator humidity is at 82%.

I would do exactly what you did and leave it in the incubator for at least 12 hours, perhaps 24. That's red instead of yellow so not exactly sure but maybe you'll be surprised and it'll absorb that and be okay.

Update, very sadly the chick passed away last night.
I know if something was wrong it's for the best, but it was such a happy friendly little thing.
