If you found maggots in their I bet they ate the mold, and if the chickens are eating the maggots then they get the mold in them. How much is feed for you.... mine in PA is only 5 dollars.. I have 24 chickens and I only have to buy it every 1-2 months.. I know every state has different costs but i'm curious as to know how much it costs.what about if you find maggots but you can't find any mold? thats whats happening here.

Our bags are $5 for every 50 pounds. I feel lucky to only have to pay so little.Five bucks! We pay $9.49 for a 40# bag of pellets, 16% protein here in SE Missouri..
Edited to add: a bag of feed lasts six weeks or more, DH says, now that we have converted to a no-waste feeder.
That's really cheep! Our bags are $5 for every 50 pounds. I feel lucky to only have to pay so little.
Yes, can't forget the drive... the distance is quite a while but I'd rather spend less because tractor supply is also the same distance so i'm going for the cheaper option.. they are both 35-40 miles away TSC is just a bit of a shorter drive being maybe 30 miles and the benton feed store about 35-40 (depending on traffic) but of course barely is any. That's really cheep!
I use either Flock Raiser or an all flock feed. Flock Raiser is $17.49 for 50# and the all flock is $15.99 for 50# I do have to drive an extra 10miles or so for the all flock so....
Of course you pay 6.75% sales tax too!
yah me toYup we are about 30 miles away from our feed store. Worth it for country life though!
