[My Baby Mallard]

So my baby Mallard egg is on day 20 and is black on one side of the egg. I see veins toward the bottom, there is a nice air cell. My question is is it suppose to be black all the way around or not. I can only see this when candling. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not hatching expert, but I do know that my chicken eggs look quite dark and difficult to see anything in around day 20 so I believe it is normal. You can probably Google candling pictures of ones to compare it to

Yes i have done that. I was wondering if the WHOLE egg is suppose to be black.?
