Need some info about a few things. My duck twisted her leg badly about 2 weeks ago there is no sign of breaks or swelling and she can bear some weight now which she couldnt at all, she's just having trouble walking shes a heavy bird so will it take longer to heal?? shes in a dog crate in the house she has daily epsom baths. The other problem is i added rooster booster to her pellets the other day now she refuses to eat them iv given her fresh pellets but she still just plays around with them she will eat her treats just not pellets!! Can anybody help with these or had any similar problems??

Try making a warm soupy mix of her pellets, she may try them that way. Cut out the treats. I know hard to do but she needs her reg feed more. Hope she heals soon!
She makes them all sloppy then just dabbles around in them or spits it in her water,i did try leaving through the night without food hoping she would eat them this morning but she just looked in her bowl at it then i caved and gave her some peas haha. What do you think about her leg? I'll tell you the full story she has been the house for 5 months with bumble foot on the other foot (which we have finally gotten rid of) but we where still treating it 2 weeks ago ,she was wrapped in a towel while we were wrapping the foot and she must of twisted her leg in the towel because as soon as we put her back down she couldnt walk. She has been putting alot more weight on and sometimes she walks better than other times shes still laying down alot though i worry alot about her and love her just cant wait to get her put right and get her back out with the other two and see her happy

Maybe a picture of the leg. What breed is she? Heavier breeds seem to have weaker legs since they are carrying around more weight and it can take longer to heal. Can you get Meloxicam or have any? It’s a pain reliever and anti inflammatory. Might help get her back faster. Of course what your doing keeping her from running around lettering her rest is the best for healing. Do you give her tub time? Water therapy is another good safe way to get her leg muscle healthy plus b complex. The liquid would be best since she likes peas you can give it to her that way 1 ml daily. Maybe try crushing some peas in her feed and see if she’ll eat that.
