I have ducks (2 & 4 wks old) and chickens (hens & roos) ranging from 1wk- 18months. When I first started I only had hens so they were straight layer feed and scratch but now that chicken math has happened 🤣🤦‍♀️ I'm trying to find a good feed & scratch that will provide everyone with what they need. I feed the babies chicks 20% chick starter, everyone else is Purina all flock plus I add a cup of layer feed in the run for the girls plus scratch that I give the chickens a cup twice a day.So I'm trying to go from 3 diff feeds to one for everybody. I'm placing a order for scratch and feed & I'm really looking into the Kalmbach 20% protein flock maker plus the hi-pro scratch. Will this be good for everyone (besides the babies who need stater) or is there any brand or feed that would be better?
I'm trying to find something and stick with it so I can auto ship it but I'm so confused at this point..
Thank you for any help, tips ❤️

Thank you! From research I was reading all said it was fine with all flock but I just wanted to be 100% sure as my girls act like they are hungry even though they get scrambled eggs, table scrapes etc. When it comes to scratch they seem to waste a lot and only pick out the corn plus the mealworms I mix in. So I figured would try a different brand.
Do you think the 2 cups a day (morning and evening) is too much for 13 chickens? This is the cup I use.

We've fed our newly hatched chicks and grown chickens Kalmbach's Flock Maker (20%) crumbles for a couple of years now, with great results. We supplement the layer hens with oyster shell as the "all-flock" is lower calcium.

We recently had two ducklings dropped off. 😲 We don't raise ducks. I was happy to read the bag of Flock Maker to find that it is nutritionally complete, niacin and all, for ducks. Yey! So everyone gets it!

For the chickens, and maybe the ducklings when they grow up, their "treat" is Kalmbach's Henhouse Reserve. That is a layer feed, so is not lacking in anything, and they love it. They'll leave the pellets in it behind, so I skip a day, and then they'll clean those up too.

This makes it so much simpler.
