Hen eye injury or infection?

Hi everybody, we have a year old ham that I found with a very swollen eye and one side side. The other eye seems to be fine.

Posting pics of healthy side and swollen one

How can I help her heal? Is her eye gone? What could be happening?

I isolated her for now… i love my birds and animals but have no vet available or know how to help.

Does anyone know what is happening with her?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions…
Apply a warm saline compress to the eye and slowly work it open.
Once open, flush generously with Saline, then press out any pus that's in the eye. Apply an ointment like Terramycin eye ointment in the eye.

Clean out the eye, flush it and apply your ointment at least once daily.

When you get the eye open, take some more photos if you wish.

×2 that. I use Veticyrin instead of Terramycin but whatever works for you

Thank you so much everyone for helping. Here is her eye today. It looks so much better, thank you to all of you!!!

It looks like there is something wrong with membrane? Posting a pic, any ideas?

Keep flushing the eye with your saline and see if you can clean the eye of debris and crusts. You may need to press out pus. Pus will not dry up on it's own.
Keep ointment in the eye.

Hopefully the eye will begin to look much better in a few days.

Do you have respiratory illness within your flock?

Thank you so much, I will keep doing it and keep you all updated. Someone mentioned that as a possibility too, but all other 30+ birds are healthy.

What makes you think it could be respiratory infection? Is there anyway I can test it somehow?

I highly suspect that it was one of the roosters that did it… that rooster went to soup yesterday after hurting another Roosters eye the day prior.

I am fairly new to homesteading and I am learning a lot from senior members here and locally, please share any knowledge or advice, i appreciate all info i can get so my birds can enjoy their life while feeding us.

Thank you all…
