Hen longing for weaned babies?

Just to put a face on the babies.

Some hens are terminally broody.
She weaned her chicks(chases them away).
The newer chicks may have sparked her broodiness again.
It's chemical(hormones) not emotional('longing').

Thank you for the input. I do see her chasing them away from her. They sound terrified of her when she does that.

I know, right!?
It's crazy when they wean them, the chicks are so 'confused'.....
....I almost wonder if it's better for chicks to be brooder raised and integrated young,
they seem to do better that way overall IME.
