Hen or Cock, what breed??

Hi there,

My husband picked up an "extra" chick at Rural King back in February (on the 16th) this chick was already twice the size of the other chicks and I think they were already a week old, so it might have been two weeks old at that point. It was in a trough labeled pullets and was in with the Ameracaunas (sp?) I checked the saddle feathers and they are rounded, but the crop and waddles came in strong and bright. LOL> Please help!

He will probably moult them out and grow in his cockerel feathers. But he’s a definitely a boy. Red sex links are bred so that pullets are red, boys are white. Plus that comb is huge. Sorry ):

I see pointed buff colored saddle feathers

And that comb and wattle at that age are definitely male characteristics

Agreed. The red feathers just above the tail are the saddle feathers.
