To me it looks like it could still be a pullet. The comb isn't that big, it's not even pink in color, and there's no wattle development. IDK, maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I'd give it a chance.

My friend told me to name him thunder so maybe we’ll go with thatYes. Name yet?![]()
Thunder is perfect ; )So I bought some chicks from my local feed store about 3 weeks ago and this one has the biggest comb of them all and looks to be a rooster to me. I’m not sure though because I’m not good at sexing chicks. The feed store sexes their chicks as pullets so I’m not too sure what it is. Wondering what others think. View attachment 4069779
Definitely a cockerel, for the breed I vote Sapphire gem. Female Sapphire gems usually have dark legs and feet and dark gray feathers.
Feed stores often label chicks wrong, unfortunately. It might be a sapphire olive egger bc I see a crest coming in. Looking at your most recent pics it could possibly be a pulletI bought them from a bin at my local feed store labeled ameraucanas and Easter eggers
Now that you mention it, they do look like sapphire olive eggers. They have the same pattern too. I have two of these and they both have big combs except this one’s comb is turning red but who knows! sapphire OE hens have floppy combs, and floppy combs develop fast so it could very well be femaleNow that you mention it, they do look like sapphire olive eggers. They have the same pattern too. I completely agree. I won't say definitely pullet by any means but if I had to guess, I'd say pulletTo me it looks like it could still be a pullet. The comb isn't that big, it's not even pink in color, and there's no wattle development. IDK, maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I'd give it a chance.
