Hen or Roo?

We have a 8 week old EE from a hatchery. EE in question was sexed female, but obviously at 1 day old that can't be 100%.

"She" is our only EE, so we don't have another to compare her to. Over the past week "her" comb has gotten bigger and darker which made me question if maybe she was a he. I'm a first time chicken owner and our city doesn't allow for Roos in backyard flocks -- Hope we don't have a Roo needing a new home.

Does your EE have some reddish coloring showing in the wings? Hard to tell from the photos but that's a sure sign it's male.

Either way, I'd say he's a cockerel judging by the comb and uneven coloring.
