Hen with strange symptoms

Oh, thanks for posting that, but I thought....
Me, too. easiest thing to tell the boy's. She was my 6 year olds favorite hen. These hen's are outside constantly in the daytime. One Roo and 5 hen's in large well ventilated hen house at night. They have rubber mats with a light layer of clean shavings cleaned daily. The lay boxes with nesting pads. They have an 8x8 screened in area with a small two hen house that she chose to get broody in. it is fairly closed up. wondering if that choice was not the best. It was always checked and cleaned. the food was in closed dry cans.

Oh, no need to tell US that ;)
As to where the aspergillus came from....it's hard to say.
Here's story about it being in freshly chipped tree trimmings.

We moved into this property at the beginning of the year. Came with two hens and the hen house. The bedding in the screened area was ans is. Large layer of wood chips not clean shavings. The hen house and lay boxes are in a desperate area that has been emptied, then stall mats and light layer of clean packaged horse shavings. I think perhaps you may me right about the old chips in the screened area. We may need to empty, treat and use the horse mats in there also. Thanks, for your replies.
