So my project for the past two days has been to make a heater for the coop to kinda take the edge off and so their waterer wouldn't freeze.

Supplies.

1.Large Clay Pot.

2.Small Clay Pot.

3.Old Extension Cord

4.Male End Plug

5.Silicone Based Caulk

6.A 40,60,75 Or a 100 Watt light bulb

7.A Light Bulb Socket

Here's how I made it.

1. Took the extension cord wire the light bulb socket and put in the small pot then fish the extension cord through the small drainage hole in the bottom of the small pot and then wired it to the plug and then put wirenuts over the wire and put electrical tape over it.

2.Put light bulb in light socket.

3.Plug in to check to see if light works of not check wiring.

4.Put the small pot with the light bulb in it on top of the large pot if the light bulb in the small pot hits the large pot take a drill but and make a hole big enough for the bulb to fit in on the large pot.

5.Put the silicone caulk by the cord and the small pot by the drainage hole

6.Put silicone between the small pot and large pot.

7.if the light bulb goes out cut old silicone and replace bulb.

8. If I wasn't clear enough explaining this hopefully the pictures will explain it.

Duuuuude, I do like it. I didn't see it before. Gives the birds something to cuddle up to if they want. Maybe DH will make one for the run for me since it is super cold now but they have to go out for food and water.
