Sounds right! The chestnut two swirl mare we have is in her 20s and my mom has had her 20 years. Through those years, she has been a monster, an angel, a whirlwind, and a turtle. She has a capital A attitude, looks out for number 1, and her name is Fancy for a reason. I swear that horse perks up when she hears Reba's Fancy. My grandmother bred her, and she was a huge Reba fan, so Fancy and her sister are Reba and Fancy. I could go on and on about her, but I'll share my best story about her later.
Story! Story! Story!

We have a horse that loves having his lip rubbed though, so just be aware, there are weirdos!😂 All our boys are doofuses and don't mind having their faces messed with, because they are constantly using their faces to mess with things.

Agreed! Weirdos, lol!

My boy Bear I was talking about those bull rings earlier... well after they fell out he got back to fiddling with everything with his mouth. Nicely though, and he never got nippy.
Well, eventually he would just come up and put his muzzle in my palm, frequently. Like I'm a face holder or something.
I wouldn't normally give a horse such uhh... free rein, but he was so sweet about it and it was a gradual thing.
He liked to wiggle his lips around while pressed into your hand. Utter weirdo!

Are you sure you don’t want to share it now? I love a good horse story. :)
So, my siblings were getting their first rides on Fancy, and my mom was leading them to make sure Fancy didn't try anything. (Fancy being able to open the arena gate and walk out, as well as when she was younger, bucking off those she didn't like.) Once my mom thought they were situated on top and ready, she started walking Fancy forward. Everything went well for the older sibling, but the younger was nervous. Fancy could of course sense this, and even though my mom had asked if they were ready and the response was yes, Fancy knew they weren't sure, and when my mom tried to get Fancy to start walking, she planted her feet and wouldn't move. She ignored my mom, and wouldn't move a muscle until she felt that my sibling was ready to move forward, and then started off on her own, very gently and quietly. She did not try to open the gate or speed up, like she did with me, before she retired. It was quite funny seeing and realizing just how differently she acts with different people.

For reference, this gate had one of those latches where you pull up a lever in the side you want to open it on and push the gate. Fancy found that that particular gate could be opened with a good shove, so any time someone wasn't looking, *shove* and out she went.

I love this story! Horses are so intelligent and in-tuned with people!
