How do I keep ducks in their pond and out of my pool?

That is one thing I do miss about Texas. Way less regulations and the government tends to mind it's own business about our personal matters. Maryland is regulation and code and so on and so on and so on!! :he
The government might be ok with an unfenced pool, I’d worry more about homeowners insurance that may have an issue with such an attractive nuisance.

That said I have a cousin in Dallas that has a wild mallard come every year and hatch eggs in her landscaping and raise babies in her pool. My cousin watches them grow up and then fly away. This was the Fourth year. My cousins mother had a bobcat raise babies in her yard. My family is nuts about animals. This is Suburban Metroplex.

My pool is in the middle of my property, so they charge a little bit more but I also carry a liability rider above my insurance policy. I am more worried about poachers shooting someone but it covers the pool as well. The worst thing about the insurance is they made me cut down every tree within 40 feet of my house. We had bad fires in 2011 and this was the solution.
