How do you weigh a duck?

Seriously... I'm trying to figure out if my ducks are anywhere close to the standard. How do folks weigh their ducks?

On a scale loL XD but in all serious ness as long as your ducks are healthy and have a relative weight, they're fine

For day to day, Buck Oakes and I agree. And I think we'd both say (don't mean to overstep, here, Buck) that if you do need the weight to monitor weight loss or gain in the case of serious illness or medicine dosage, a large kitchen scale works.

There are many to choose from, based on a quick web search I just did.

In fact, I think I ought to look into that for our flock.

But what TYPE of scale? What do they use at duck shows? My kitchen scale doesn't cut it. The bathroom scale doesn't either except when I stand on it too, and I KNOW that weight isn't right. I thought about a fishing scale, perhaps with a fishing net to hold the duck. I just now thought of a baby scale, but thing again it might start too high.

Looks good, but only goes to 11 lbs. Some of us have chubby ducks Not me right now, but my Pekin I raised from hatch weighed 13 lbs before he was 4 months old. He was huuuge!

Yes, you know how self-centered I am!!! My ducks range in weight from 2 to 5 pounds.

Mine are 2-6 lbs, but please, don't forget the chubby duckies
