How friendly can Budgies from a pet store get?

Wow. Says who, someone on the internet? Well then you *must* be an expert. The things that I do are based on 20 years of personal experience in intensive aviculture, mentored and instructed by those with many more decades of experience than I. I'm not here telling anyone what to do, and I didn't ask for input on how to care for my bird in my situation(of which you still are not fully informed).

Clipping one wing is disastrous in a healthy bird as is - totally unbalances the animal and prevents even fluttering. A fall for this budgie would probably kill it, as it would spiral in circles. I am not talking to the poster because I don't think they care, but this is animal abuse and if anyone reads this, please don't think that is acceptable.
this is why I stopped commenting on this thread they think they know it all because they own 1 bird

I'm kind of confused. If you are refering to me, I don't only own 1 bird? And I absolutely DO NOT think I know it all, that is why I have mentors with more experience than my mere 20 years with birds...?

As a person who owns/runs a pet bird rescue that works along side avian veterinarians with over 30 years experience I agree that clipping one wing is an out dated and dangerous practice. A symmetrical clip will allow a bird to fly down and land safely while limiting lift. I have seen too many birds come in to my care and the vets with keel injuries, leg fractures and broken blood feathers due to this form of clipping
