I have notice that my incubator ran out of water in the bottom. I dont know how long it was out for? Would i have done some harm because of this?I do know it wasnt any longer than 7 days.

Probably not. We dry incubate which is to say we don't put any water in the incubator. We do put a glass of water in the hatcher if they seem to be sticking when hatching. Our humidity runs between 40 and 55% during incubation without water.

I line the bottom of our bator with a trash bag. Then, I can use more water for a longer period of time. I put a Large Taco Bell cup full of water in the bottom twice a week this way. If you just just the preformed water trays, I was having to fill them up sometimes twice a day.

The ambient humidity in your area will determine how it will affect your hatch. I'm guessing the humidity isn't terribly high in Ontario this time of year?? Have you candled the eggs to see how big your air sacs are for how far along your eggs are?
